DOs and DON'Ts to protect against Spoof emails and Phishing scams

1.  DOs



   Quickly report impersonated or suspect email to local IT team.

    Always be cautious about opening attachments, even from trusted senders.

    Please install anti-virus and firewall programs at desktop level.

    Check financial statements and credit reports regularly in case of any fraud complaints.

    Verify by directly calling the email sender and confirm on phone in case of financial transactions.

2.  DONT's


    Never send passwords or any sensitive information over email.

    Avoid clicking on "verify your account" or "login" links in any fake email.

    Do not reply to, click on links, or open attachments in spam or suspicious email.

    Don't call the number in an unsolicited email or give sensitive data to any unknown callers.
